Rocio is a Venezuelan born artist whose rich and multicultural background deeply informs her vibrant and imaginative work. Now based in Brighton, UK, she creates from a studio overlooking the ocean, where the shifting light and colour of the coastline inspire her oil paintings.

Her practice blends abstraction, figurative elements, and surrealism, drawing on Latin American artistic traditions while remaining distinctly personal. Rocio’s work reflects her own journey, shaped by life in Venezuela, the United States, Mexico City, and by extensive travel across the world.

Through bold colours and dynamic forms, each painting reveals a narrative rooted in memory, emotion, and a vivid inner world. Her work invites viewers into a space where reality and imagination meet, offering an intimate glimpse into the stories that guide her creative process.
